“New Southbound Special Need Patient Oral Care Training Programs” closing ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Waranun Buajeeb, Dean of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry on July 15, 2019. In this regard, Prof. Tsui Hsien Huang from Chung Shan Medical University College of Oral Medicine, Taiwan presented the certificates to the dentists and dental assistants who successfully participated in the program.

This training program, through collaboration between Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry and Chung Shan Medical University College of Oral Medicine, was established to train dental health professionals to be able to efficiently manage patients who have a variety of conditions that needs medical management, health care intervention, and/or use of specialized services. They would also have a great opportunity to gain and advance their knowledge and skills to strengthen the holistic development of dental professionals to provide the best services possible for the special need patients.

Moreover, on the same day, there was a “Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony” between Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry, Chung Shan Medical University College of Oral Medicine, Huang Liang Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd. Taiwan, and Alliance Global Technology Co., Ltd. Taiwan.

This MoU will focus on technical teaching and clinical practice training of industry-academia cooperation orthodontic anchorage screw, and it is very hopeful that many collaborative projects among all the parties will be started in the near future.

Both events, the closing of the New Southbound Special Need Patient Oral Care Training Programs and the signing of Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding, were held at Room 301 and Room 304 respectively at Floor 3, Chalermprakiat Building, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry, Phayathai Campus, Bangkok.
