Research Office

Research Office is under the control of the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University. In 1968, it was first established under the name of Research Unit. The missions are to search and provide equipment and materials of the laboratory and to support and develop equipment and materials. In 1995 to 2000, to support the huge growth in the development and research, the unit put on an impressive performance in equipment procurement.New and modern equipment were purchased such as the Scanning Electron microscope,the Universal Testing Machine and more. In 2011, a new duty has been added as well and the unit was renamed Academic and Research office. It was given the responsibility to ensure that the amount of equipment meet the need of users. In 2003, the office functioned as internal quality management to enhance the performance of the unit. Later in 2004, ISO 9001: 2000 was applied for the office. However, ISO 9001: 2008 has been applied for the office as the currently version. After that, dental testing center was established due to new product development. In 2005 to present, the office has earned ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 in recognition of a successful assessment which aims to reach the international standard, to be accepted by others and to support faculty academic research. In 2011, Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University has been reorganized. Since then, the Academic and Research office was changed to Research Office. It consists of three sections; Research Promotion and Development Section, Research Service Section and Research Applied Section.
