Doctorate’s degree: The exam committee must consist of at least 5 members
Chair:
An external examiner who hold Ph.D. Degree or equivalent with 5 publications in
international level. Not a co-advisor for the thesis.
Members:
- A regular instructors in curriculum who hold Ph.D. Degree or equivalent or have an
academic title of no less than an associate professor in that particular field or related
field of study and have at least 3 publications in 5 years backdate (at least 1 publication
must be research publication).
- And/or external examiner with the same qualification as the chair.
Remark: The instructor who recently obtained the Ph.D. Degree must have some publication as followed:
(1) Must have at least 1 publication in the past 2 years
(2) Must have at least 2 publications in the past 4 years
After the Faculty of Graduate Studies approved the student request for thesis defense examination, GR.3
the evaluation form of oral thesis defense exam will appear. Student must submit the exam result within
15 days after the exam.
