Research Ethic

When graduate students want to conduct their research, they are required to get the research ethic approval
before executing their research. The dentistry student whose research is related to human can submit the
application form and research protocol to request an ethic approval at Research Ethic Promotion Unit which

For the students who wish to conduct research using laboratory animals must apply for MU
Application for a Permission of Animal Care and Use from Research Management and Development
Division, Office of the President, Mahidol University. The guideline and application forms are available at

For those whose researches are not conducting with human subject need to Self-Assessment form
whether an activity is human subject research which requires ethical approval. The form is available at MU-

The student needs to upload the ethic certificate or the self-assessment form in e-thesis system after
the thesis advisory committee is appointed.
