1. Philosophy and Justification of the Curriculum
Doctor of Philosophy in Oral Biology and Integrative Biomedical Science Program (International
Program) is a well-rounded Ph.D. program which enables graduates to conduct research in the area of Oral
Biology and Integrative Biomedical Science based on research ethics, in order to create new knowledge or
innovation to improve health and well-being, by educating them through learning-centered education,
outcome-based education, and constructivism.
2. Objectives of the Program
After graduating from the program, doctoral graduates achieve the qualification standards for higher
education as follows:
- Have in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of theory and practices in application for works in oral
biology and biomedical science
- Create high-quality research or innovation in oral biology and biomedical science
- Adhere to moral and ethics in academic and profession
- Have characters of leadership, communication and self-development in life-long learning and IT
3. Expected Learning Outcomes of the curriculum (ELOs)
At the end of study in the program, students will be able to:
ELOs 1 Apply a well-developed in-depth understanding of advanced scientific knowledge in oral
biology and biomedical sciences to formulate research hypothesis and conduct research in
dentistry and other related disciplines
ELOs 2 Conduct a well-developed in-depth research for novel knowledge or innovations in oral
biology and related biomedical sciences
ELOs 3 Possess moral and ethics in academic and research with respect to law and code of conduct
ELOs 4 Demonstrate professional skills including leadership, life-long learning, ability to work with
others, taking responsibility, using IT and exhibiting proficiency in English for conducting
research
