Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry and Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health Sign MoU to Enhance Care for Children with Cleft Lip and Palate

On February 27, 2025, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT) held a ceremony to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health, Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health. The MoU focuses on academic cooperation, academic services, research, and care for children with cleft lip and palate.

The MoU was signed by Associate Professor Bundhit Jirajariyavej, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Mahidol University, and Dr. Akarathan Jitnuyanont, Director of the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health. The ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Penpak Krergmatukorn, a Medical Physician (Senior Professional Level) at the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health, and Assistant Professor Surakit Visuttiwattanakorn, Director of the Dental Hospital, Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University, at the Sirindhorn Dental Museum, 1st floor, on the 50th  Anniversary of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building, Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University.

This collaboration aims to promote and support the creation of knowledge and the development of relevant personnel skills to ensure effective patient care for children with cleft lip and palate. It covers access to services, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and appropriate treatment. Additionally, the partnership seeks to advance academic work, research, and public health services in this field, extending knowledge in dentistry and related medical fields to improve treatment standards and benefit both institutions and society.
