December 15–17, 2025

Ms. Kathy Tran, Ms. Celeste Del Pilar, Ms. Bridget Hibbler, and Ms. Brooke Ellis, final-year dental students from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry (UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry), USA, participated in a short-term student exchange program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University (DTMU) from December 15–17, 2025.

During their visit, the students were introduced to the learning environment and facilities of the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University (DTMU). The exchange provided an overview of how the faculty supports dental education, student well-being, and innovation within an international academic setting, with activities and observations documented throughout the visit.

Below are the students’ impressions from their visit to DTMU:

1. Ms. Kathy Tran

I really enjoyed being at Mahidol University because I get to gain a different perspective on patient care and a different global perspective.

2. Ms. Celeste Del Pilar

I really enjoyed touring the school and seeing the different ways the school supports the students like the tea times and how the organizational structure really supports their education and innovation here.

3. Ms. Bridget Hibbler

I was impressed with how the dental school promotes wellness through initiatives such as the sky garden and other spaces that are designed to support balance and well-being.

4. Ms. Brooke Ellis

I was impressed by the school’s Sirindhorn Dental Museum which showcases the dental history and history of the university, and also showcases current innovation and research here at the school.
