The Postgraduate Educational Administration Division, formerly known as the Academic Development Unit, was established by the Ministry of University Affairs following letter no. 0202/32823 dated December 28, 1987.
Subsequently, the Faculty of Dentistry had a restructuring of the Faculty and the Mahidol University Council then accepted and approved the name change from Academic Development Unit to Postgraduate Education Unit on July 17, 2014, effective from August 1, 2014.
In 2019, the Faculty of Dentistry had proposed a request for a restructuring of the Postgraduate Education Unit and a change in its name to Postgraduate Educational Administration Division, being officially approved by the Mahidol University Council at meeting no. 550 on November 20, 2019, effective from the date approved by the University Council.
