2026 White Coat Ceremony for 4th-Year Dental Students

On May 6, 2026, Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University (DTMU), hosted the White Coat Ceremony for 4th-year dental students from both Thai and International Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) programs for the 2026 academic year.

The auspicious ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Bundhit Jirajariyavej, Dean of DTMU. He was joined by the executive team, department heads, faculty members, and academic advisors who attended to honor and congratulate the students on this significant milestone.

The ceremony featured several meaningful highlights:

  • A Special Keynote Address: Titled “The First Step into the Dental Profession,” delivered by Clinical Professor Emeritus Jiraporn Chaiwat.
  • Institutional Anthems: The proud singing of “Suddhasinobol” and “Kan Pai Mahidol.”
  • The Donning of the White Coat & Oath-Taking: A profound moment where students publicly pledged their commitment to medical ethics and patient care.

The White Coat Ceremony serves as a pivotal rite of passage. It symbolizes the students’ readiness, instilling a deep sense of duty, professionalism, and responsibility as they transition from preclinical studies to providing real-world clinical care to patients. The event was beautifully organized by the Student Affairs and Alumni Relations Unit in collaboration with the Mahidol University Dental Student Association, and was held at the Debaratana Auditorium on the 4th floor on the 50th Anniversary of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building.
