DTMU Unites for Merit-Making and Public Service in Honor of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Birthday

On April 2, 2026, Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University (DTMU), organized a grand merit-making and public service event to celebrate the birthday anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (April 2). The event aimed to express loyalty and immense gratitude for Her Royal Highness’s boundless benevolence towards the Thai people.

The event commenced with a well-wishing signing ceremony, presided over by Associate Professor Bundhit Jirajariyavej, Dean of DTMU. He was joined by the executive team, dentists, staff, and students to offer their blessings and carry forward her royal aspirations.

Following the ceremony, comprehensive dental services were provided at no cost to the public to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. The services included oral examinations, fillings, tooth extractions, impacted tooth removal, scaling, emergency root canal treatments, pediatric dentistry, and dental radiography. The capacity details were as follows:

  • Dental Hospital, Faculty of Dentistry (Phaya Thai Campus): Accommodating 1,200 adults and 100 children.
  • Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Dental Hospital (Salaya Campus): Accommodating 300 adults and 40 children.

Furthermore, the Faculty collaborated with the National Blood Centre, Thai Red Cross Society, to host a blood donation drive, ensuring sufficient blood reserves for patients nationwide. An oral health education exhibition was also held to promote sustainable and correct oral healthcare understanding among the attendees and their families.

This initiative beautifully reflects DTMU’s role as a dependable oral healthcare pillar for the community and unites the hearts of its personnel in performing good deeds for a highly auspicious royal merit-making occasion.
