From March 9–13, 2026, sixth-year dental students from the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Program, Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University (DTMU), participated in the Overseas Learning Experience Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan. The institution is an academic partner under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions. The program aimed to strengthen students’ professional competencies by enhancing their academic knowledge, clinical skills, and understanding of dental practice in an international context.

During the visit, the students participated in various academic activities, including lectures delivered by faculty members of the host institution, observation of clinical services at the dental clinics, as well as cultural exchange activities and networking with international students. These activities helped broaden their understanding of dental education and dental care systems at the global level.

This study visit was organized as part of the course “DTID 663 Study Visit in Dentistry” in the Doctor of Dental Surgery program. The course aims to provide students with learning experiences abroad while reflecting the commitment of the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University to promoting international learning opportunities and strengthening academic collaboration with leading institutions worldwide.
