On September 8, 2025, Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University (DTMU), entered into a trilateral academic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Shanghai, China. The agreement unites three leading institutions: Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University, Thailand; Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, China; and the International Medical College, University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany.

The MOU was signed by Associate Professor Bundhit Jirajariyavej, Dean of DTMU; Professor Yuanjin Xu, Vice President of Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, College of Stomatology; and Dr. Lisa Pan, Asia Director of the International Medical College. The ceremony was witnessed by a delegation of executives from all three institutions, including Clinical Professor Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean’s Advisor, and Associate Professor Dr. Tippanart Vichayanrat, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Organizational Communication.

The agreement aims to sustainably strengthen academic cooperation in research, education, and the exchange of staff and students, elevating the partnership to an international level.
