DTMU Joins Volunteer Medical Unit Project Dedicated to the Supreme Patriarch

On August 3, 2025, a team from Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University (DTMU), participated as dental volunteers in the “Volunteer Medical Unit Project,” a charitable initiative dedicated to His Holiness Somdet Phra Ariyavongsagatayana, the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand.

The DTMU volunteer team was led by Assistant Professor Komsun Lapauthaya, Assistant Dean for Special Projects. He was joined by staff from the School of Dental Assistants and students from the Advanced Dental Assistant Certificate Program. The team provided essential dental treatment to monks and the local public at Wat Bot in Sam Khok District, Pathum Thani.

The project’s opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Emeritus Dr. Kasem Watanachai, President of the Foundation for Good Governance on Medicine. This collaborative effort was organized by the Foundation for Good Governance on Medicine, the Medical Council of Thailand, Mahitala Dhibesra Institution, King Prajadhipok’s Institute, Pathum Thani Hospital, and the 2nd Medical Leaders Certificate Program (MLCP 2).
