Presentation of the Project for Development as Part of “Training Program in Technology of Medicine and Public Health for Health Personnel from Lao PDR under the Patronage of H.R.H Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (Batch 27)”

On March 3, 2025, Associate Professor Bundhit Jirajariyavej, Dean of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry, graciously welcomed participants to the Presentation of the Project for Development as part of the “Training Program in Technology of Medicine and Public Health for Health Personnel from Lao PDR under the Patronage of H.R.H Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (Batch 27)”. In this regard, Professor Emeritus Dr. Kraisid Tontisirin, an advisor to the Training Program, also delivered the opening address at the event which took place at the Debaratana Auditorium on the 4ᵗʰ floor on the 50ᵗʰ Anniversary of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building.

Participants from 11 training courses presented their projects during this event. Associate Professor Dr. Tippanart Vichayanrat, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Organizational Communication, chaired the presentations for the programs on Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Nutrition. For the Dentistry program, a presentation titled “Factors Associated with Oral Health Care Behaviors among Pregnant Women Attending Antenatal Care Services at 5 Hospitals in the Lao PDR” was delivered.

This event provided an opportunity for medical and public health personnel from the Lao PDR to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and present their work, contributing to the development of various fields. It highlighted the strong collaboration between the two countries and aimed to enhance the capacity of healthcare personnel, ultimately improving the quality of medical services, especially in the Lao PDR.
