On August 18, 2025, Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University (DTMU), welcomed a group of high school students and teachers from Kanchananukroh School, Kanchanaburi, for a special educational tour. The visit was part of the “Phaya Thai Area Museums Collaboration Project,” featuring a collaboration between the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Tropical Medicine.

While at DTMU, the students’ itinerary included a tour of the Sirindhorn Dental Museum and the “DTMU Storytelling: Stories We Might Not Know – “DTMU Storytelling: Stories of DTMU You Might Never Know – From Wisdom Teeth to the Maxillofacial Region”, presented by the heads of the Anesthesiology Unit and the Surgery Unit. Following this, the students observed DDS clinical training at the Dental Simulation Lab and also visited the School of Dental Technology to explore the 2-year Certificate Program in Dental Technology.

As part of the tour, the students then visited the Faculty of Tropical Medicine to explore the Museum of Tropical Medicine, the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, and observe the 1-year Practical Nurse training program. This comprehensive visit was designed to provide students with valuable information for their future university applications and to inspire them as they considered careers in the health sciences.
