On August 15, 2025, Department of Advanced General Dentistry at Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University (DTMU), hosted a special lecture titled “Dental Hygienists’ Role in Japan and Taiwan”. The faculty was honored to welcome Assistant Professor Dr. Liao Shin-Ru as the guest speaker from the Department of Oral Care for Systemic Health Support, Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan. The lecture, held in Lecture Room B4 of the 50th Anniversary of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building, provided the audience with valuable international perspectives on the evolving role and responsibilities of dental hygienists within the oral healthcare systems of Japan and Taiwan.
