On March 5, 2026, Associate Professor Bundhit Jirajariyavej, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry Mahidol University (DTMU), along with Associate Professor Dr. Tippanart Vichayanrat, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Organizational Communication, executives, and committee members, presented certificates to four dentists from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR). The delegates successfully completed the Community Dentistry training program held from February 2 – March 5, 2026, at DTMU.

The distinguished delegates are:

1. Khamphouva Sengmanivong, Head of Dentistry, Xaibouthong District Hospital, Khammouane Province
2. Phetdavone Heuangsavan, Head of Dentistry, Xaisetha District Hospital, Attapeu Province
3. Bounthanome Saxsysavang, Deputy Head of Dentistry, Thateng District Hospital, Sekong Province
4. Soulisack Kenemany, Dentist, Mounlapamok District Hospital, Champasak Province

This training is part of the “Training Program for Health Personnel from Lao PDR Under the Royal Patronage of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn” (Batch 28). It aims to foster the exchange of dental knowledge and experiences while allowing participants to present developmental guidelines for public health.

The project reflects the strong bilateral relationship between Thailand and Lao PDR. It sustainably empowers healthcare professionals to elevate the quality of medical and public health services, particularly in Lao PDR.
