DTMU and NCKU Co-Host Webinar on “AI-Driven Healthcare Transformation: Strategic Roles of Hospitals and Universities”

On December 3, 2025, the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University (DTMU), in collaboration with National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan, successfully organized the MU–NCKU Webinar titled “AI-Driven Healthcare Transformation: Strategic Roles of Hospitals and Universities.”

This event was held as part of NCKU Overseas Week, an annual collaborative initiative between NCKU Overseas Hubs in Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia.

The webinar was presided over by Professor Dr. Waranun Buajeeb, Dean’s Advisor and Director of NCKU Overseas Hub in Thailand, who delivered the opening remarks. The session was moderated by Assistant Professor Dulyapong Rungraungrayabkul (Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology) and Lecturer Dr. Binit Shrestha (Department of Prosthodontics).

The event featured distinguished experts from Mahidol University and the private sector, who shared insights on the following topics:

  • Chun-yuan Cheng (Head of Business Key Account Management, Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL.) presented on “AI & Resilient Energy: Delta’s Practical Approach to Future-Ready Healthcare.”
  • Assistant Professor Dr. Narit Hnoohom (Assistant to the President for IT and Digital Transformation, Mahidol University) presented on “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Academic Research.”
  • Piyarit Ittichaiwong, M.D. (Siriraj Data Innovation Center, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital) presented on “AI in Healthcare.”
  • Lecturer Dr. Thitipat Achakulvisut (Biomedical and Data Lab (BioDat LAB), Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University) presented on “Automatic Skull and Mandible Reconstruction Building on MedShapeNet Foundations.”
  • Associate Professor Dr. Wei-Chih Lien (Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, College of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan) presented on “Mobility & AIoT”

The academic conference was conducted online via Cisco Webex Meetings and broadcast live on the NCKU Overseas Hub in Thailand Facebook page.
