On September 23, 2025, the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University (DTMU), held a signing ceremony for a license agreement to produce and commercialize “Zanthoxylum-based products” between Mahidol University and Zanthomax Co., Ltd. The agreement was signed by Associate Professor Bundhit Jirajariyavej, Dean of DTMU, together with Mr. Thongrob Buajeeb, Chief Executive Officer of Zanthomax Co., Ltd., to promote the translation of DTMU research, technology, and innovations into commercial applications.

The ceremony was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Viriya Taecharungroj, Director of the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (iNT), Mahidol University, who witnessed the signing and highlighted the institute’s role in advancing research, technology, and innovation for commercial use. Additionally, Professor Dr. Waranun Buajeeb, Dean’s Advisor of DTMU and the inventor of the research, shared the origin of the work and the pathway for collaboration with the private sector. The event took place at the Sirindhorn Dental Museum, 1^st Floor, 50^th Anniversary of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building, DTMU.

The Zanthoxylum-based product, Zanthomax toothpaste, contains Zanthoxylum extract, which helps reduce oral inflammation, inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi, is free from oral tissue irritants, and has a gentle formula suitable for all ages.
