International Dental Collaboration of the Mekong River Region (IDCMR)

Since its establishment in 2004, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry has taken a leading role in fostering sustained collaboration in dental education and professional development across the Mekong region through annual executive and academic meetings, as well as faculty and student exchange programs.

WHO Collaborating Center for Oral Health Education and Research

DTMU has been officially designated as WHOCC for Oral Health Education and Research since February 2015. The center plays an important role in supporting WHO’s work by promoting oral health, building the capacity of dental professionals, and encouraging research and innovation in oral disease prevention.

Now in its third term (2023–2027), DTMU continues to contribute to global oral health efforts, including the implementation of the WHO Action Plan for Oral Health in the South-East Asia Region, reducing the use of dental amalgam, and generating scientific evidence to improve oral health promotion and care.

MU-NCKU Joint Research Center

MU-NCKU Joint Research Center was established through the collaboration between Mahidol University and National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan. This center aims to advance research and innovation in dentistry and medicine, aligning with Thailand’s “4.0 Policy” and Taiwan’s “New South-bound Policy.”

Taiwan - Thailand Scientific Research & Technological Innovation Center

Established in 2019 and renamed in 2023, the Taiwan-Thailand Overseas Scientific Research and Technological Innovation Center (TTSTC) serves as a key platform for bilateral cooperation in health technology, smart living, resilient society, and sustainable environment. Aligned with Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy and Thailand’s 2023–2027 innovation strategy, TTSTC promotes academic-industry collaboration, talent cultivation, and frontier research.

Training Program for Health Personnel from LAO PDR

This program is organized to enable medical and public health personnel from the Lao PDR to exchange knowledge and experiences in the field of dentistry, as well as to present development approaches in various medical and public health disciplines. It reflects the strong cooperation between Thailand and the Lao PDR and aims to enhance the capacity of health professionals, thereby improving the quality of medical services, particularly in the Lao PDR.
