Dental Services

            Dental clinics at the Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Dental Hospital are categorized into two sections: the Self-Support Service System Clinic and the Education Service System Clinic.

            The Self-Support Service System Clinic provides general and specialized dental services in all branches. Services are provided by expert dentists and specialists in each field, available both during and after working hours, including Saturdays and Sundays.

            The Education Service System Clinic offers specialized dental services, with dental lecturers and postgraduate students from the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University, providing diagnosis and treatment planning for oral diseases. This includes complex dental services, focusing on comprehensive care and supporting referrals from neighboring clinics and hospitals. The emphasis is on dental treatment for children, the elderly, university staff and students of Mahidol University, the general public, and foreigners.

Registration and Service Request Procedures

For Patients with Scheduled Appointments

1.Coverage Check before receiving services

 

Contact the Medical Records Unit on the 3rd floor

Operating Hours: 07:00 a.m. – 07:30 p.m.

 

Eligible Patients with Appointments are:

  • Contractual Insurance/ Mahidol University Student Coverage
  • National Health Security Office (NHSO) Coverage with a referral letter or NHSO for persons with disabilities
  • Direct payment coverages from the Comptroller General’s Department/ Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA)/ Local Administrative Organization (LAO) employee healthcare benefits/ NHSO officer for patients under 15 years without a national ID card (must have a birth certificate or an original copy of home registration)
  • Social Security coverage of 900 Baht (no co-payment)

 

Self-Check Coverage at the “Coverage Verification Machine”

  • Only for Direct Payment coverages from the Comptroller General’s Department/ BMA/ LAO/ NHSO officers for patients with national ID cards
  • Located at the “Self-Check Coverage Verification Machine”

2nd floor: Front of the Patient Relations Unit

3rd floor: Front of the Medical Records Unit

 

General Patients or patients with primary coverages can directly contact the appointed clinic.

 

2.Register at the designated dental clinic with an appointment

Patients who have verified their coverage can bring the coverage verification form from the Medical Records Unit or the “Self-Service Coverage Verification Machine,” along with their appointment card, to the clinic staff.


3.Screening/ Receive Dental Services at the scheduled appointment time

Walk-In Patients

(For new patients/ registered patients with urgent needs for basic treatment)

1.Contact the Medical Records Unit on the 3rd floor

  • Register/ Verify coverage and insurance for new and registered patients.
  • Operating hours start at 07:00 a.m.

Patients aged 12 years or younger can contact the Pediatric Dental Clinic on the 2nd floor.

  • Present documents from the Medical Records Unit at the Pediatric Dental Clinic to get a treatment queue number. (Failure to contact the clinic will result in loss of queue priority.)
  • The queue for walk-in patients is limited each day.
  • The clinic accepts walk-in patients from 08:00 a.m. to 03:00 p.m. or until the queue is full.


2.Patients aged over 12 years can contact the Patients Relations Unit on the 2nd floor

  • Present documents from the Medical Records Unit at the Patients Relations Unit to get a queue number for examination/treatment. (Failure to contact the unit will result in loss of queue priority.)
  • The queue for walk-in patients is limited each day.
  • The clinic accepts walk-in patients from 07:30 a.m. to 03:00 p.m. or until the queue is full.
  • Contact the General Dentistry clinic or relevant clinics to wait for treatment according to each queue type.

3.Receive Dental Services

Treatment for symptoms/ Referral of patients as recommended by the dentist.

 

4.Payment/Appointment/Enter the Treatment Queue

Walk-in Patients (during Office hours)

“The queue for walk-in patients is limited each day.”

For new patients and registered patients who have not contacted us for over 5 years:

  • Examination and treatment planning for the entire oral cavity (examination fee 200 Baht/ infection control fee 100 Baht/ outpatient service fee 90 Baht)
  • Radiographic imaging is required for treatment planning (radiographic imaging fee is not included in the examination fee, so additional charges apply)
  • After the examination and treatment planning, patients will be scheduled for follow-up appointments as recommended by the dentist.
  • In cases requiring immediate treatment, it will be at the discretion of the dentist.

 

For Registered/Old Patients:

  • Queues are not applicable for registered/old patients without appointments unless they have urgent symptoms such as swollen gums or toothaches.
  • Treatment will be provided based on the dentist’s discretion for symptom relief.
  • After treatment, patients will be scheduled for follow-up appointments as recommended.
  • Registered/old patients without urgent treatment needs will not be queued for treatment and must schedule appointments, for example, for scaling.

Dental clinics after office hours will operate on an appointment-only basis.

Monday to Friday: 08:00 a.m. – 04:00 p.m.

Wednesday: 08:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

(Wednesday Afternoons are reserved for scheduled appointments only)

Accepting walk-in patients during office hours only (Limited number of new patients per day)

*Note: Closed every third Wednesday of the month or as determined by the hospital.

Special Dental Clinic (After Office Hours)

 

 

Operating Hours (Public Holidays and Special Holidays) are as follows:

Monday to Friday: 04:00 p.m. – 08:00 p.m.

Saturday to Sunday: 08:00 a.m. – 04:00 p.m.

Special Holiday: 08:00 a.m. – 04:00 p.m. (Only when the hospital operates on a special basis)

Reserved for scheduled appointments and dental emergencies only.

*Note: Closed on the third Sunday of the month or as determined by the hospital.
