Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry Participates in the 2024 International Conference on Future Healthcare and Economic Development in Taiwan

On October 28, 2024, Professor Dr. Waranun Buajeeb, Dean’s Advisor and Director of the Taiwan-Thailand Scientific Research and Technological Innovation Center (TTSTC), alongside Associate Professor Dr. Tippanart Vichayanrat, Acting Deputy Dean for International Relations and Organizational Communication, and Assistant Professor Dr. Dulyapong Rungraungrayabkul from the Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology, represented Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry at the 2024 International Conference on Future Healthcare and Economic Development (FHED 2024), held by National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Tainan, Taiwan, from October 28–30, 2024.

 

The conference topics include issues related to leading MedTech, clinical care, technologies, and innovation applied to the cutting-edge future healthcare system. The major theme of FHED 2024 is “Digital Health Tech from Hospital to Home” to match the fast growing of IoT and artificial intelligence applied in remote health, precision person care, and cell/regenerative medicine.

 

In this regard, Professor Dr. Waranun Buajeeb contributed as a keynote speaker, delivering a lecture on “An Online Serious Game in Dental Education.” In addition, Associate Professor Dr. Tippanart Vichayanrat and Assistant Professor Dr. Dulyapong Rungraungrayabkul jointly presented “Oral Health Problems in the Elderly.”

 

This conference brought together 160 participants from 25 countries worldwide, including medical experts, distinguished professors, educators, researchers, Startup CEOs, medical device companies, and key opinion leaders.

 

The event aimed to foster international cooperation and deepen participants’ understanding of digital innovations transforming healthcare, making it more accessible and effective for patients worldwide.
