On September 11, 2024, Professor Piyamitr Sritara, Acting President of Mahidol University, and Associate Professor Dr. Sompop Prathanturarug, Acting Vice President for Quality Development and Social Engagement, represented the university in receiving instructional media titled “Let’s Go See the Dentist.” This resource is designed to help visually impaired individuals reduce anxiety before receiving dental care.

The media was presented by Clinical Professor Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT), and Assistant Professor Woranun Prapansilp from the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at MUDT.

Additionally, this instructional media was also presented to Ratchasuda Institute, an institution for higher education for disabled adults, to enhance access to quality dental health services for visually impaired individuals. The handover took place at the Office of the President, Mahidol University.

The Bas-relief illustrations book was developed by the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, in collaboration with the H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Mobile Dental Service Center. It received financial support from the Media Production Initiative to Reduce Concerns for the Visually Impaired, MUDT, and Mahidol University’s Social Innovation initiative to promote inclusivity in healthcare services.
