On August 26, 2024, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT) welcomed 36 tenth-grade students from Kanchananukroh School in Kanchanaburi Province. During their visit, the students toured the Sirindhorn Dental Museum, recognized as Asia’s first interactive dental museum, and the Dental Simulation Center to learn about the Doctor of Dental Surgery Program and the Certificate Program in Dental Technology (a two-year program) at the School of Dental Technology.
In addition to their time at the Faculty of Dentistry, the students explored the Discovery Museum of Tropical Diseases at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, a collaborative effort between the two faculties.
Following these tours, Lecturer Dr. Sujiwan Seubbuk Sangkhamanee from the Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology provided insights into the exhibition “DTMU Story Telling: Something You May Never Know,” focusing on the topic “Beyond Teeth: The Benefits of Good Oral Hygiene.” Additionally, an expert from the Research Applied Section shared information about research and innovation at Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry. This session aimed to inspire the students and spark their interest in potential future careers in dentistry.
