Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry recently welcomed three third-year undergraduate students from the Faculty of Dentistry at Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU), Japan: Ms. Akari Yasuhara, Ms. Yui Shimabukuro, and Ms. Kurumi Murayama.

In this regard, Associate Professor Dr. Pornpoj Fuangtharnthip, Head of the Department of Advanced General Dentistry, extended a warm welcome to the students.

The program, held from August 13 to 22, 2024, allowed the TMDU students to engage in clinical observations and participate in a presentation session with Mahidol dental students. During this session, they exchanged knowledge about oral healthcare practices in Japan and Thailand and shared their experiences at Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry. The students also visited dental clinics at the Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Dental Hospital and the Sirindhorn College of Public Health in Chonburi Province.

This program was organized as part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions, which aims to promote academic exchange. At the conclusion of the program, the students received certificates of participation from Clinical Professor Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry.
