On August 7, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Pisol Senawongse, Deputy Dean for Research, Facilities, and Environment at Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry, presided over the opening ceremony of “MUDT Environment Day 2024,” delivering the opening speech. The event was aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability among faculty members, students, and staff.

Following this, Associate Professor Dr. Pipop Saikaew, Assistant Dean for Research, Facilities, and Environment, reported on the event’s objectives, emphasizing the importance of understanding and addressing current environmental issues and fostering a sense of responsibility for natural resources.

The event featured various educational activities, including a Q&A session with prizes. It also included a plastic bottle donation drive for recycling, an e-waste donation activity to ensure proper disposal, and a bra donation activity for the ‘New Life BRA CYCLE’ project, which transforms old bras into clean energy. Additionally, Earth Day products made from natural waste were showcased, highlighting their transformation into fashion items to promote sustainable environmental practices.

Booths for environmental and energy conservation stores were also set up, featuring food and Green Market products at the indoor multi-purpose terrace on the first floor of the 50^th  Anniversary of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building, organized by the Physical and Environmental Section.
