White Coat Ceremony for Fourth-Year Mahidol Dental Students

On June 5, 2024, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry held a White Coat Ceremony for fourth-year dental students of both Thai and international Doctor of Dental Surgery Programs, academic year 2024.

The event was presided over by Clinical Professor Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry. This significant ceremony is considered one of the essential preparatory steps in the clinical training of dental students.

The ceremony featured a special speech titled “First Steps of Dentists’ Career Path,” delivered by Clinical Professor Emeritus Jiraporn Chaiwat, a distinguished figure in the dental field. Following the speech, the gown presentation took place. The white coats were presented to the students, symbolizing their readiness and commitment to advancing in their clinical education and professional journey.

The event concluded with an Executive Meeting with Parents, conducted by the faculty executives and the Deputy Dean for International Undergraduate Program and Network Collaboration. This meeting provided the faculty executives, department heads, and lecturers with an opportunity to engage with the students’ parents, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment as the students’ progress in their professional training.

The ceremony was held in the Debaratana Auditorium on the fourth floor of the 50th Anniversary of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building.
