On March 20, 2024, Assistant Professor Bundhit Jirajariyavej, Deputy Dean of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry, represented the faculty at the press conference for “World Oral Health Day 2024”.

This event was jointly organized by the Dental Association of Thailand and partner universities, focusing on the theme “A Happy Mouth is a Happy Body”, taking place in Room Lotus Suite 5–6, 22^nd floor, Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Center at Central World.

Dr. Adirek Sriwatanawongsa, President of the Dental Association of Thailand, provided an overview of the event’s organization during the press conference. Following this, Dr. Opas Karnkawinpong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health, presided over the event and delivered a lecture, followed by an interview with the media.

World Oral Health Day event aims to heighten public awareness about the vital link between oral health and overall well-being. Through active participation in such initiatives, dental professional organizations seek to bolster their capacity for effective social campaigning.

As part of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry’s involvement in World Oral Health Day 2024, they promoted healthy habits such as limiting the consumption of sticky and sugary foods and maintaining regular dental hygiene practices. This campaign is highlighted through the hashtag #WOHDTH2024MUDENT.
