On January 3, 2024, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry hosted a New Year’s Alms-Giving Ceremony led by Dean, Clinical Professor Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen. The event saw the participation of faculty members, supporting staff, and students, coming together to offer food and essentials to eighteen invited Buddhist monks from the Rama IX Golden Jubilee Temple in Bangkok. The ceremony took place at the 50th Anniversary of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building, on the 3rd and 4th floor.
In this regard, Associate Professor Dr. Weeraphong Bhumiratanaprapin, Dean of the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, and Associate Professor Dr. Sarawut Thepanondh, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, were also present at the event. The ceremony aimed to provide offerings, receive blessings and engage in almsgiving.
