On November 29, 2023, the Special Needs Patients Care Unit of the Dental Hospital at Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry warmly greeted 20 individuals, including autistic visitors and their staff, from the Autistic Thai Foundation. The occasion was organized under the theme ‘Take friends… Visit the museum.’
Lect. Nataya Nopparattanakan, a faculty member from the Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology, delivered a warm welcome address to the visitors. Mahidol dental students also engaged with the visitors and shared helpful tips and knowledge on oral health care.
Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Apiwan Smutkeeree, a lecturer from the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, participated in the activity, offering insights into dental care at the Pediatric Dental Clinic. Lect. Phakaphon Wanikitkuapon, from the Department of Advanced General Dentistry, along with Mahidol dental students and dental assistants, also discussed challenges and obstacles in accessing dental care and welcomed feedback from the guests.
This collaborative effort aimed to provide an enjoyable museum experience while fostering a friendly exchange of knowledge and understanding between dental professionals and visitors from the Autistic Thai Foundation.
