Ceremony of MoU Signing on “Implementation of the Public-Private Joint Sectors
on Oral Health Service Project among the Population Aged 3-6 Years:
A Case Study of Bang Pu Subdistrict Municipality and Phraeksa Municipality, Samut Prakan Province”

 

On May 6, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry, along with Dr. Komsun Lapauthaya, Assistant Dean for Special Projects, joined the Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony on “Implementation of the Public-Private Joint Sectors On Oral Health Service Project among the Population Aged 3-6 Years: A Case Study of Bang Pu Subdistrict Municipality and Phraeksa Municipality, Samut Prakan Province” between the Samut Prakan Provincial Public Health Office, Bang Pu Subdistrict Municipality, Phraeksa Municipality, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry and the Dental Council of Thailand.

 

In this regard, Dr. Naresrit Kadthasima, Samut Prakan Provincial Public Health Doctor, Mr. Teeraphol Chuncharoen, Mayor of Bang Pu Subdistrict Municipality, Mr. Im Phaemor, Mayor of Phraeksa Municipality, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry and Dr. Thongchai Vachirarojpisan, the First Vice President of the Dental Council, were invited to sign a memorandum of understanding. The executives from five organizations also attended the ceremony as a witness at the Samut Prakan Provincial Public Health Office.

 

This MoU aims to support the joint public-private dental service project in Bang Pu Subdistrict Municipality and Phraeksa Municipality, Samut Prakan Province, as part of a research project supported by the Health Systems Research Institute on “Implementation of the Public-Private Joint Sectors on Oral Health Service Project among the Population Aged 3-6 years: a A Case study of Bang Pu Subdistrict Municipality and Phraeksa Municipality, Samut Prakan Province” with collaborations from private dental clinics which provide dental services to the target population, aged 3-6 in Bang Pu Subdistrict Municipality and Phraeksa Municipality.

 

The Department of Community Dentistry, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry, will take part in data analysis to issue the proposed policy for implementing the joint public-private dental service policy in other areas of Thailand accordingly.
