“International Summit Forum on Oral Care: New Southbound Special Needs Patients Oral Care”

On September 12, 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT), along with the faculty executives, dentists and dental assistants participated in the “International Summit Forum on Oral Care: New Southbound Special Needs Patients Oral Care”, arranged by Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan via ZOOM Clouds Meeting.

In this regard, experts from Chung Shan Medical University and Taiwan Oral and Maxillofacial Anesthesiology Association were invited to give lectures on oral health care for special needs patients and share their knowledge and experience with the attending dentists and dental assistants from MUDT and Hanoi Medical University School of Dentistry, Vietnam.

The main aim of this online forum was to provide dentists and dental assistants in Southeast Asia with insights into dental care for patients with special needs, as part of Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy which focuses on strengthening its relationship and collaboration with Southeast Asian countries.
