“2021 The Southern Taiwan Science Park’s Aligner Orthodontic and Temporary Anchorage Device International Training Program”

On June 18, 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT), along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratchapin Srisatjaluk, Deputy Dean for International Undergraduate Program and Network Collaboration attended the online academic conference titled “2021 The Southern Taiwan Science Park’s Aligner Orthodontic and Temporary Anchorage Device International Training Program”, organized and streamed live via Zoom application by Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan.

 

In this regard, Asst. Prof. Dr. Peerapong Santiwong, Head of Department of Orthodontics represented MUDT to deliver his lecture with the topic “The Current Status of Using TAD & Clear Aligner in Thailand”. Experienced lecturers and orthodontists from University of Indonesia, Indonesia, Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam and Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan were also invited to give lectures concerning orthodontic equipment and technology to faculty members and students in attendance from those participating institutions.

 

The conference’s main objective was for participants to study the current status of using TAD (Temporary Anchorage Device) and Aligner in their countries and South East Asian region, and to share their experiences and technical knowledge in orthodontics.
