“2021 International Webinar Series on Smart Healthcare Science and Technology: Digital Dentistry”

On May 20, 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT), was invited to deliver opening remarks and attend the “2021 International Webinar Series on Smart Healthcare Science and Technology: Digital Dentistry” hosted and streamed live via Microsoft Teams by National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan.
Lect. Pranai Nakaparksin, a faculty member from the Department of Advanced General Dentistry, represented MUDT to give a lecture on “Digital Era of Implant Dentistry”. Apart from that, experienced lecturers and health care specialists from the Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology, University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, School of Dentistry, NCKU, Department of Biomedical Engineering, NCKU and Codent Technical Industry Co. Ltd, Taiwan also gave lectures concerning digital dentistry and dental technologies. The webinar was well attended by lecturers and students from those participating institutions.
In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rudee Surarit, a faculty member from the Department of Oral Biology, was also officially introduced by NCKU as the Director of MU-NCKU Joint Research Center, which is a collaboration between Mahidol University and NCKU. The center was established in a bid to encourage more involvement in clinical research, exchange knowledge and deepen academic partnership between the two institutions, with aims of collaboratively generating new innovations and disseminating them among industrial sectors in Thailand and Taiwan. All these would hopefully help bolster international collaborations in various aspects between Thailand and Taiwan.
