Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony with King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang,
and Innovative Medical Devices Presented to Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry

 

On May 14, 2021, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT) organized the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony between MUDT and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) via Cisco Webex Meetings at the Sirindhorn Dental Museum, 1st floor, the 50th Anniversary of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building.

 

The MoU was signed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean of MUDT and Prof. Suchatvee Suwansawat, President of KMITL.  In this regard, Associate Professor Dr. Ratchapin Srisatjaluk, Deputy Dean for International Undergraduate Program and Network Collaboration and Assoc. Prof. Araya Phonghanyudh, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, KMITL, as well as executives from both institutions, attended the signing ceremony.

 

This MoU aims to build a close partnership and explore potential collaborations between the two universities, particularly through the integration of advance knowledge in dentistry and medical engineering innovation in the areas of both academic activities and research, and to establish a management system to address the current and future serious threat caused by the transmission of infectious diseases through physical contact.

 

After the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean and Asst. Prof. Surakit Visuttiwattanakorn, Director of Dental Hospital also represented MUDT to receive the donation from KMITL by Dr. Jaroondech Janjarussakul, Chairman of Institute Promotion Committee and Member of Institute Council and Asst. Prof. Rutchanee Gullayanon, Executive Vice President for Research and Innovations who represented KMITL.  The innovative medical devices included 10 Power Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) with hood for medical staff and 18 two-in-one air purifiers for dental treatment.
