Visit from KMITL Delegation in Negotiation on Medical Care Development Agreements
On November 12th, 20220, a delegation from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rutchanee Gullayanon, Executive Vice President for Research and Innovations, Asst. Prof. Natthanon Phaiboonsilpa, Director of KMITL Research and Innovation Services (KRIS), and Dr. Anawat Sermsawan, Associate Dean for Innovation Strategy, Faculty of Medicine, KMITL, met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT), and his executives to exchange ideas on innovation for infection control in dental settings during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak situation.
The KMITL delegation also took this occasion to give MUDT 10 sets of powered air-purifying respirators (PAPRs), an innovation for interpersonal transmission control that was co-developed by the KRIS and private agencies. This newly developed equipment will be used by dentists to evaluate the efficiency of infection-free treatment in MUDT’s dental hospitals. Moreover, possibilities of co-developing information technology and other innovations for dental hospitals were discussed in order to transform them into the technological system-based dental hospitals with high efficiency healthcare in the future.
