Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry’s Executive-led Representatives Join Ceremonies of
Laying Flower Garlands in Remembrance of Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla
on the Occasion of “Mahidol Day”
On September 24, 2020, Prof. Dr. Waranun Buajeeb, Dean of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT) led her executives; Asst. Prof. Wipada Lerdrit, Deputy Dean, Acting Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and International Education and Director of Mahidol International Dental School (MIDS) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Director of Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Dental Hospital, and the faculty staff and students to participate in a ceremony of laying a homage-paying flower garland in front of a statue of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla, recognized as “Thailand’s Father of Modern Medicine”, in recognition of his royal graces and all-time fruitful works on laying a strong groundwork for development of Thailand’s public health and medicine. This took place on the occasion of Mahidol Day at the statute of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkhla, Mahidol Learning Center, Mahidol University (Salaya Campus).
In the meantime, there were the other 2 MUDT’s executive-led groups joining the homage-paying ceremony in 2 different faculties of Mahidol University.
At the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Peerapong Santiwong, Director of Dental Hospital along with the faculty staff and students represented MUDT to take part in the ceremony of laying a homage-paying flower garland in front of the statute of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkhla therein while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rudee Surarit, Deputy Dean for Research, together with Asst. Prof. Bundhit Jirajariyavej, Deputy Dean for Educational Technology and Acting Deputy Dean for Educational Affairs, and the faculty staff and students also commemorated this auspicious occasion by joining the homage-paying ceremony taking place in front of his royal statute at the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University.
