Wai Kru Ceremony of 2020 Academic Year


On September 10, 2020, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT) organized Wai Kru Ceremony: Paying Homage and Respects to our Teachers for the 2020 academic year. In this regard, Prof. Dr. Waranun Buajeeb, Dean, as a chairperson, along with her executives, lecturers, and some students from different dentistry programs, attended the ceremony.


Student representatives expressed sincere apologies and tribute to the lecturers at the beginning of the ceremony, followed by laying pedestal trays and garlands in front of the lecturers to pay respect, singing a teacher appreciation song in harmony and participating in a textbook anointing ceremony.


After that, Dean as a chairperson addressed moral guidance to the students and presented academic excellence and good behavior awards to outstanding students. These ceremonies took place at Debaratana Auditorium on the 4th floor of the 50th Anniversary of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building.


Finishing all ceremonies in the Debaratana Auditorium, the executive board members, lecturers, and students moved to a hallway on the 7th floor to lay a pedestal tray and a garland in front of a statue of Emeritus Prof. Isara Yuktanandhe in recognition of his honored role as “the First Teacher” of MUDT.
