UVC Sterilizer Model JKP-1-S 8W Provided by the COVID-19 JKP Group
On June 5, 2020,
Prof. Dr. Waranun Buajeeb (Dean, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry) together with
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rudee Surarit (Deputy Dean for Research),
Asst. Prof. Kallaya Yanpiset (Deputy Dean for Finance and Procurement), and
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuchai Anunmana (Deputy Dean for Quality Development) represented the faculty to receive a set of the UVC sterilizer model JKP-1-S 8W from COVID-19 JKP, a group of volunteers led by Mr. Jaturon Suwannarat, Mr. Kridsadakorn Suwannarat, Mr. Pattanapong Tesprasit, Mr. Worawit Kankulsuntorn, and Mr. Narathip Bunbanyen. The provision took place on the 17th floor of the 50th Anniversary of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirinthorn Building.
The group themselves invented this sterilizer properly certified by Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Engineering Innovative Development and Technology Services Center from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. The sterilizer had been tested for its bactericidal capability before being launched, and the result reported that it can eliminate the bacteria on the surface of the surgical masks. Therefore, the group decided to provide this UV sterilizer for the faculty.
