The Dental Clinic Project for the Responsive Prevention of the COVID-19 Outbreak
by Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry Funded by BTS Group’s Voluntary Donation
of 2 Million Baht


On May 22, 2020, Mr. Keeree Kanjanapas (Chairman of Executive Board) together with
Mr. Kavin Kanjanapas (Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer) and
Mr. Surapong Laoha-Unya (Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer),
honored representatives from BTS Group Holdings PLC and Bangkok Mass Transit System PLC, donated 2 million baht to Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUFD). The donation was aimed to enhance service capabilities of the dental clinics in the Dental Hospital, MUFD, and to be part of the responsive prevention of the current outbreak of COVID-19.
Prof. Dr. Waranun Buajeeb (Dean, MUFD) along with
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen (Director, Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Dental Hospital),
Asst. Prof. Kallaya Yanpiset (Deputy Dean for Finance and Procurement) and
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuchai Anunmana (Deputy Dean for Quality Development) represented the faculty to receive the donation at U Sathorn Bangkok Hotel.


Regarding the improvement of dental service quality, the Dental Hospital, Phayathai Campus, and the Maha Chakri Sirinthorn Dental Hospital, Salaya Campus, Nakorn Pathom Province, are the first essential targets for the faculty. The improvement is aimed to prepare the hospitals for the patient services during the COVID-19 situation by reorganizing the dental personnel’s sections or units to effectively take standard precautions. Moreover, more medical supplies for dental works, including PPE suits, will be provided for the hospitals to ensure the patient safety in the dental services. With the good preparation, dental personnel and supportive staff will definitely reach the standards on the prevention of COVID-19 infection and the effective control over the current COVID-19 situation.
