The 9th Japan-Thailand-Korea Joint Symposium


Associate Professor Dr. Pisol Senawongse (Deputy Dean for Physical Environment and International Relations) and Dr. Kallapat Tansriratanawong (Lecturer, Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology), as representatives of Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry attended the 9th Japan-Thailand-Korea Joint Symposium with the theme “Interdisciplinary Future Dentistry: From Bench to Chair” at Yonsei Dental Hospital Building, Yonsei University College of Dentistry, Korea on October 17-18, 2019.


In this meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Pisol Senawongse and Dr. Kallapat Tansriratanawong also actively took part in the event by delivering their lectures providing insightful knowledge for the participants with the title “The Effect of pH change in Bacterial Interphase with Dental Restorative Materials Leading to Biofilm Formation” and “The Current Nanotechnology Approach to Periodontal Tissue Engineering” respectively. Both of them also attended the Dean’s Meeting to discuss future activities among member institutions.


Japan-Thailand-Korea Joint Symposium is an annual scientific meeting which is collaboration amongst 7 universities from Japan, Korea and Thailand:  Osaka University Graduate School of Dentistry and Kyushu University Faculty of Dental Science (Japan), Kyungpook National University School of Dentistry, Seoul National University School of Dentistry and Yonsei University College of Dentistry (Korea) and Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Dentistry and Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry, Thailand.
