Associate Professor Peerapong Santiwong, Head of the Department of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry (DTMU), was invited to attend the official opening ceremony of the Peking University Hospital of Stomatology – Sanya Branch, China’s first national-level regional dental specialty center. The opening ceremony was held on 10 January 2026 as part of the 1st Hainan International Stomatology Academic Conference.

As a key medical hub within the Hainan Free Trade Port, the new hospital provides world-class dental services to local residents and international patients, with management and clinical teams directly from the main campus of Peking University in Beijing.

On this occasion, Associate Professor Peerapong delivered an academic lecture on 11 January 2026 entitled “Digital Orthodontics Beyond Simulation: From Virtual Setup to Clinical Reality”, within the session Digital Medicine and Precision Orthodontics, presenting recent advances and clinical applications of digital technologies in orthodontic diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical practice.
